vigyázz#KáPé — Financial Education for Children
K&H Bank, part of KBC Group, has a long-standing commitment to children’s financial education, including annual competitions for schools. To help children prepare, we worked with the award-winning ed-tech startup BOOKR Kids to create a video series within an educational app.
The story follows KáPé (“Ca$h”), a young vlogger learning about the history of money, financial systems, loans, and more. Using a recurring character and a familiar format gave children a way into topics that can otherwise feel abstract or complicated.
I wrote the screenplays and copy for the series, which totalled 150 minutes of video. The writing challenge was to make financial concepts understandable and engaging for a young audience while keeping the story moving.
What made the project especially meaningful to me was its practical purpose: helping children understand insurance, question whether an unnecessary purchase is worth borrowing money for, and think carefully before making financial decisions. These are things even adults struggle with, and giving children an early chance to explore them felt like work worth doing.
